The Office of Math and Science Education will share information on the recently adopted 2009 science standards and discuss our expectations in biology for all students. High school biology core content support documents and end of course exam test development specifications will be discussed. The Office of Math and Science Education also anticipates the opportunity to receive feedback from practitioners regarding their perceived challenges. The second day will be a work session in which biology teachers are asked to bring their local curriculum, textbooks, and any other related resources as we work together in mapping curriculum and creating aligned assessment examples in biology. While we strongly encourage your participation in the second day work session, we are not considering it to be mandatory.
